Armstrong+Krause (A+K) are award-winning writers for film and television.
Among their recent produced feature projects, A+K wrote BAIT 3D which grossed over $45 million world wide and THE DARKNESS, a supernatural thriller, directed by Greg Mclean, produced by Blumhouse Productions and starring Kevin Bacon. THE DARKNESS was released worldwide by Universal in mid-2016 and it placed fourth at the B.O in the US on its opening weekend. A+K wrote the thriller ACOLYTES (2008) which starred Joel Edgerton.
Some of the projects that Armstrong & Krause are currently developing include CREWE, a supernatural-thriller feature for Tim McGahan (PREDESTINATION, WINCHESTER); TREMULA, a sci-fi TV series with Michael Rymer(BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, HANNIBAL); THEO: A HAUNTING, a supernatural thriller feature for Kristian Moliere (THE BABADOOK); THE HOUSE GUEST, a slow burn supernatural feature from the acclaimed novel; and SUBMERGED, a horror thriller for producer Michael Robertson (BLACK WATER, THE REEF).
A+K wrote three animated telemovies for the Cartoon Network and developed the TV series K9 for television (featuring the DOCTOR WHO spin-off character K9) and a new 13-part animated series for Cartoon Network called EXCHANGE STUDENT ZERO. Armstrong+Krause recently completed a series of STAR WARS featurettes for Disney and have optioned cult film THE QUIET EARTH with Kristian Moliere which they are developing as a TV series and will soon present to the market. They are also currently working with Matchbox Pictures on an original TV drama series.
A+K have been writers and/or creative consultants for The Disney Channel, Fox Australia, Cartoon Network, Arclight, Nickelodeon, Disney XD Europe/U.S. The feature film, telemovie and TV series titles written by the partnership has generated around $70-80 million in production budgets with marketing budgets of $100 million and beyond.
Writing under the penname TJ Park, they have also recently released their debut horror novel UNBIDDEN which the publisher Harper-Collins Books describes as “the most terrifying supernatural crime novel you will ever read.”
The partnership have many more projects in various stages of development – from full feature scripts, outlines and treatments to TV bibles and concept documents.
A+K each have a Master of Arts in Research in Scriptwriting (QUT). They are four-time nominees for AWG awards and won the AWG John Hinde Award for Excellence in Sci-Fi Writing in 2009 and 2013; they are the only writers to win the award twice.
